We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing the quality of life for those you support, whether in a residential setting or within the community.
Responsibilities
Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including heavy lifting when required.
Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
Administer first aid as necessary and ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver hospice care or senior care services as needed.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in their condition to the appropriate personnel.
Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote their physical and mental well-being.
Experience
Previous experience in patient care, childcare, or senior care is highly desirable.
Familiarity with first aid procedures is an advantage.
A background in nursing or related healthcare fields is beneficial but not mandatory.
Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
A caring attitude with excellent communication skills is essential for building rapport with clients.
