Job Description
We are currently working with an expanding financial services company that is actively recruiting for an AWS Cloud Engineer to join them on an initial 3-month contract.
The role will be responsible for the design, deployment and maintenance of primarily AWS-based cloud infrastructure, effectively supporting other teams across the business.
The AWS Cloud Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
- Carrying out the design and implementation of secure network solutions
- Updating and upgrading AWS cloud infrastructure with minimal downtime
- Creation of virtualised systems in AWS
- Application deployment within AWS
- Using CloudFormation templates to create blueprints
- Managing AWS services with automation tools
- Building tools to aid deployment, troubleshooting and monitoring of systems within AWS
- Extensive experience designing and managing AWS cloud, with some experience working with Azure
- Experience with serverless architecture
- Experience with CloudFormation
- Coding and automation skills in a production environment
- Exposure to code versioning tools
- Experience with Scripting languages such as Python or YAML
- Experience within the financial services industry and industry standards (preferable)
