AWS WorkSpaces Specialist





We are seeking a skilled and experienced

AWS WorkSpaces Specialist

to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in leveraging AWS WorkSpaces to enable agile development, facilitate rapid prototyping, and establish environments for product demonstrations. A strong hands-on background with AWS WorkSpaces is essential, particularly in contexts involving rapid prototyping or environment setup for demonstrations.



The ideal candidate will possess practical experience in deploying, managing, and scaling AWS WorkSpaces to provide secure and efficient remote access solutions. Familiarity with optimizing WorkSpaces specifically for developer workflows, including the integration of necessary tools and environments, is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities



Design, deploy, and manage AWS WorkSpaces environments tailored for rapid prototyping, proof-of-concept development, and technical demonstrations. Configure and optimize AWS WorkSpaces to support diverse developer requirements and workflows. Implement and maintain security best practices for AWS WorkSpaces, ensuring secure remote access and data protection. Monitor and manage the performance and scalability of AWS WorkSpaces deployments. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WorkSpaces access, performance, and application compatibility. Collaborate with development and technical teams to understand their WorkSpaces needs and provide appropriate solutions. Develop and maintain documentation for WorkSpaces configurations, processes, and best practices. Stay current with AWS WorkSpaces features, updates, and related End User Computing services.

Required Qualifications



Proven hands-on experience with AWS WorkSpaces, including deployment, configuration, and management. Experience in setting up and maintaining AWS WorkSpaces for rapid prototyping or demonstration environments. Familiarity with the considerations and requirements for providing WorkSpaces to software developers. Strong understanding of networking concepts relevant to AWS WorkSpaces (e.g., VPCs, subnets, security groups). Knowledge of identity and access management, including integration with Active Directory and AWS Directory Service.

Desirable Skills



Experience in scaling AWS WorkSpaces deployments to accommodate growing user bases or fluctuating demands. Proficiency in automating WorkSpaces deployment and management using tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or scripting languages. Experience with other AWS End User Computing services, such as Amazon AppStream 2.0. Familiarity with operating systems supported by AWS WorkSpaces (Windows, Amazon Linux, Ubuntu). Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
