About The Role

We have an opportunity to join the Enterprise Data team and support the wider Enterprise Data team to deliver and maintain datasets, components and tools that support the wider business and its' Data requirements.


You'll be responsible for analysing, developing, and maintaining data integration solutions for BI and research data used within the business to support research and analysis activities.


Your mission:



Design and build robust data integration solutions for our products in line with technical standards Development of application interfaces for our data and analytical products Development on big data projects leveraging real-time technologies to support research Support the development of data transformations and ETL based off business requirements to further enrich Thatcham data Ensuring data development work aligns with data governance and information security Collaborating with wider data and analytics team including data architects, analysts and testers to deliver high-quality data solutions Maintenance and troubleshooting of production data pipelines providing support of the developed data solutions Maintain high quality documentation for any data development through agreed methodologies such as technical documents, DevOps boards and commented code

Skills & experience that will set you up for success in this role:



Solid experience with Azure data integration stack. Proficiency in data integration tools like SQL, ETL, Python and APIs to extract, transform, and load data from different sources. Strong knowledge of relational database design, implementation, and administration, including MySQL, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. Practical knowledge of no SQL databases e.g. Cosmo DB Create data integrations using different data latency methodologies, e.g., real-time, periodic, and batch. Strong understanding of application interface technologies including REST, SOAP, Service Bus, etc. Strong experience working with JSON & XML Consider security, compliance, and governance in context of solution architecture Experience in data analysis, data mapping, and data integration routines involving moving, cleansing, and transforming data between multiple systems. Practical experience within Data and Analytics team equivalent to around 3 years.

Additional skills we'd welcome in our team, but not essential:



Data integration with machine learning and AI capabilities Understanding/experience with of motor insurance industry and the automotive industry would be an advantage

When we work




Our standard working hours are

8:30 - 16:30

Monday - Thursday, early finish on Friday -

8:30 - 15:45

How we work




We understand the benefits of remote and in-person collaboration, and therefore have a hybrid working model - you'll be expected to work from our office in Thatcham at least

two

days per week.

With an on-site Crash Laboratory, Repair Technology Centre and Training Academy, our research expertise is driving some of the very latest automotive developments in technology, materials and standards in this fast moving and highly technical industry.


Our active safety track site is one of the leading accredited Euro NCAP testing facilities, trialling and assessing the very latest developments in vehicle safety and assistance technologies.
