Are you a sponsorship leader ready to shape the future of B2B live events?

Haymarket Business Media (HBM)

is seeking an ambitious and commercially driven

Sponsorship Director

to spearhead a strategic approach to headline sponsorship sales across our industry-leading portfolio of awards and conferences.

About the Role




This is a new high-impact position designed to elevate our sponsorship proposition across the full HBM brand family - including

Campaign, PRWeek, Third Sector, Planning, GP, C&IT, Hort Week, Windpower, and more

. You will play a central role in delivering growth through a

product-based sponsorship model

, with a specific focus on addressing awards and conference headline sponsorships.


Working collaboratively with the portfolio sales teams, you will be responsible for creating standout commercial opportunities, leading high-value conversations with senior decision-makers, and transforming the way we go to market with our live events.


Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities



Lead on headline sponsorship sales

across all HBM awards and conference events

Develop innovative, bespoke sponsorship packages

that meet client objectives and align with event strategy

Drive new business growth

by identifying and targeting untapped sectors and clients

Realign the sponsorship sales cycle

to commence before event launches, maximizing revenue and engagement

Champion HBM's live product portfolio

, ensuring it is well-positioned and differentiated in the market

Collaborate closely with brand sales teams

and editorial to build integrated sponsorship strategies

Mentor and train

wider sales teams on sponsorship best practices and sales excellence

Ensure flawless delivery

of sponsorship deals in partnership with our events operations team

Engage C-suite stakeholders

and establish long-term, strategic client partnerships



Skills / Experience / Knowledge / Minimum Criteria:
Proven track record in

B2B sponsorship sales

, including conferences, awards and expos Strategic thinker with a

Challenger Sales mindset

- confident in advising senior clients and challenging the status quo Strong collaborator with

leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills

High-level negotiation and communication skills with

attention to detail

Creative and commercially minded

, with a flair for designing complex partnership solutions Experience working with

Salesforce CRM

to maintain pipeline, activity, and forecasting A passion for

sustainability and ethical commercial practices

that align with HBM's event values
