We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic
Baby Room Lead / Deputy Manager
to help us open our nursery and lead our
first room
-- a nurturing space for up to 24 babies. You'll also support the Nursery Manager with the daily operational running of the nursery and step up in their absence.

About the Role
As
Baby Room Lead / Deputy Manager
, you will:
Take the lead in our baby room, supervising staff and overseeing the daily care and development of children aged 0-2
Work partly
supernumerary
, with time set aside for planning, observations, and quality monitoring
Deputise for the Nursery Manager as needed, supporting with rota planning, compliance, team development, and family engagement
Help embed our ethos of fun, creativity, and nature-based learning
Contribute to Ofsted readiness and our shared goal of achieving
Outstanding
Model best practice and create a culture of support, positivity, and professionalism
About You
You'll be a natural leader and team player who's:
Fun, creative, outgoing
, and passionate about working with babies and young children
A confident communicator who brings warmth to families and positivity to teams
Flexible, calm under pressure, and happy to roll your sleeves up
Experienced as a
Room Leader
(any age group)
Ideally has some experience as a
Deputy
or
3rd in charge
, though not essential
Minimum
Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent)
in Childcare
Fully committed to safeguarding and quality practice (DSL training a plus)
Excited to be part of a new nursery with big aspirations
