Chipmunks Nursery is looking for a baby room lead to join the team.
As room leader, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education to children in our diverse setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education,

strong leadership skills,

From 30 July 2025, the Department for Education will allow nurseries to reserve a 1,000 financial incentive ('recruitment bonus') for new and returning early years (EY) educators. This is to increase the number of staff in eligible nurseries and EY providers.

This job is full time.

Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a team of nursery sta

ff to ensure the smooth running of daily activities
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the children.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to support children's learning and development

Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff members

Manage the nursery room effectively, including resources, equipment, and documentation

- Provide support and guidance to staff members to promote their professional development
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and health & safety requirements
- Foster positive relationships with families and engage them in their child's learning journey

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team

- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- A passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development
- Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or similar field is desirable

Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks efficiently
