Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Baby Room Practitioner to join our early childhood education team in Hebburn. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants and young children.

Applicants should have experience with children, childcare, and nursery settings, along with excellent communication skills.

Duties



Supervise and care for infants within the Baby Room, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote early learning and development Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment in accordance with health and safety regulations Observe and record children's progress, behaviours, and developmental milestones Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's needs, progress, and any concerns. Ensure compliance with all nursery policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Assist with daily administrative tasks related to child records and activity planning

Requirements



Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare best practices Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Childcare qualifications recognised within the UK (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare) or equivalent Experience with nursery activities and child development programmes Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and professionalism when working with young children and families
