Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Back of House Staff to join our dynamic culinary team at our newest Bedford branch. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting food preparation and maintaining high standards of kitchen hygiene and safety. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills within a fast-paced restaurant environment, contributing to the overall dining experience for our guests.

Please be aware that training for this position will be held at the Edinburgh branch of Side Street from Monday 15th December 2025 to Friday 19th December 2025. Accommodation provided.

Duties

Assist with food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients Operate grilling, frying and other equipment safely and efficiently Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment Organise ingredients and stock supplies efficiently to support smooth kitchen operations Support front of house staff when required Monitor food quality and presentation before serving Follow health and safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or contamination

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate Knowledge of food preparation and food safety standards Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy setting Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends if required A genuine interest in culinary arts and hospitality industry standards

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
