About the Role:

We are looking for an energetic and customer-focused Back-Shift Kitchen Team Member to join Carla's Kitchen at Pinkie Farm Convenience Store. This role is focused on serving customers at our food counters, ensuring high standards of food presentation and service, while also assisting with the production of our pre-packed food range.

Key Responsibilities:

- Customer Service & Counter Work

Serve customers at our food counters in a friendly and efficient manner.
Take orders, handle payments, and ensure fast service during busy periods.
Assist customers with meal choices and upsell products when possible.
Maintain clean and professional counter displays, ensuring food is always fresh and well-presented.

- Food Handling & Preparation

Portion and package ready-to-eat meals, sandwiches, and hot food items.
Assist in basic food prep (e.g., heating up pre-prepared meals, assembling sandwiches, etc.).
Ensure food is served at the correct temperature and follows food safety guidelines.

- Hygiene & Stock Control

Keep the serving area, equipment, and food prep spaces clean throughout the shift.
Follow food hygiene and safety procedures at all times.
Restock the counter and fridges with fresh products as needed.
Assist with checking deliveries and rotating stock to ensure freshness.

- Teamwork & Efficiency

Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
Communicate with the kitchen team about stock levels and customer demand.
Assist with any additional duties as required by the kitchen supervisor.

Hours of Work:

- Backshifts 1pm-9pm/2pm-10pm

- Will include at least one day on weekends
