Duties

Prepare ingredients and assist in the cooking of a variety of dishes, ensuring consistency and quality. Support the food preparation process by following recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist in baking activities, including measuring ingredients and monitoring oven times. Ensure all food items are stored correctly and labelled appropriately to prevent cross-contamination. Support the team in plating and presentation of dishes for service. Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment. Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying management of shortages.

Experience

Previous experience in food production or preparation within a professional kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred. Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is essential. Experience with cooking, baking, or culinary arts will be highly regarded. Familiarity with restaurant operations or food service environments is advantageous. Practical experience in kitchen organisation, including handling kitchen equipment and utensils, is desirable.
