to join our kitchen team and play a key role in maintaining our high standards of safety, quality, and consistency.

The Role
As a Baker at Chunk of Devon, you'll be responsible for baking extraordinary food on a daily basis, supporting production targets, and maintaining excellent hygiene and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety
Operate safely at all times for yourself and your colleagues
Maintain compliance with H&S legislation, including safe access/egress, fire safety, and reporting near misses or accidents
Quality
Be accountable for bake quality
Support production supervisors and operational management to achieve the highest product standards within the constraints of a plan
Apply the Better Never Stopsculture in everything you do
Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
Uphold excellent personal hygiene and wear required PPE
Maintain clean, hygienic work areas and follow Clean As You Goprinciples
Ensure traceability and paperwork are completed accurately and on time
Monitor and maintain CCPs appropriately
Drive plan attainment, meeting or exceeding production targets
Conduct yourself professionally and uphold Chunk's standards
Ownership & Pride
Take responsibility for the Bakery areas
Maintain equipment to food-safe standards and report defects promptly
Consider the overall appearance of the site
Additional Duties
Act on issues affecting safety, quality, or line performance
Undertake other duties as reasonably requested
What We're Looking For
Experience working in kitchens or food manufacturing environments
Proven ability to bake food safely to high standards and specifications
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene
HACCP knowledge/qualifications (desirable)
A positive, hands-on attitude with pride in your work
