We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our bakery team in the role of Baker. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and baking a variety of breads, cakes and savouries ensuring high standards of food safety and quality are maintained at all times. This role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in culinary arts and a desire to grow within the hospitality industry.
Duties
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, peeling, and measuring components for various recipes.
Shaping bread, working with dough.
Support the master baker during busy periods, ensuring smooth workflow and timely service.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and other appliances.
Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all staff members.
Contribute ideas for bakery development and improve existing food preparation processes.
Experience
Previous experience in working with bread and making cakes.
Familiarity with cooking techniques, baking, or culinary practices is advantageous.
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is beneficial.
A genuine interest in food preparation, baking, and culinary arts is essential for success in this role.
