Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to specified recipes and standards Assist in food presentation to ensure visual appeal and quality Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and other appliances Follow hygiene protocols to prevent contamination and ensure food safety compliance Support team members during busy service periods, ensuring smooth kitchen operations Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages Contribute ideas for menu development and improve existing recipes

Skills

Experience in food production, preparation, or cooking within a professional kitchen or restaurant environment Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and cleanliness Basic culinary skills including baking, food prep, and cooking techniques Excellent teamwork and communication abilities Enthusiasm for learning new culinary methods and developing professional skills
