Ridiculously Rich by Alana are looking for a bakery assistant to join their team with responsibilities cutting and wrapping our cakes at manufacturing site in Aberystwyth, this may also include baking duties as well. With the business expanding and our cakes in more demand than ever, you will be joining a busy and enthusiastic team baking and dispatching handmade tray bakes.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

BAKERY ASSISTANT

Taking our handmade cakes and cutting and wrapping ready to dispatch to customers

Compliance with Health & Safety and hygiene guidelines

Ensure standards are kept very high for our customers

Assisting with dispatching deliveries

Ad hoc responsibilities within a bakery environment i.e. completing delivery notes, checklists and general day to day tasks

Baking all Ridiculously Rich by Alana products including tray-bakes and more

Working with head baker to control stock and wastage

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

The role can be physical with long periods spent standing and requires some heavy lifting Ability to work well individually, take initiative and contribute to a team Hard working and ability to work under pressure/to strict deadlines Willingness to learn new skills General understanding of the products and skills required Passion and enthusiasm, positive attitude and motivated The role may require occasional customer-facing duties so a friendly and welcoming attitude is key
The Operative will be required to work from the bakery premises in Aberystwyth.

The role is paid at National Living Wage for those 21 and over, and 11.7 per hour for those under 21.

This is a part-time role, with flexible hours between 8am-6pm; Monday-Friday.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour
