Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and production of a variety of baked goods and sandwiches while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role is perfect for someone who is eager to work in a fast-paced food environment in a customer-facing role.

Duties

Be the face of the bakery when customers enter the shop Make sandwiches to order, provide excellent customer service and and operate the till. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including measuring, mixing, and portioning. Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers and pans safely and effectively. Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in product quality. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, adhering to food safety standards. Support the bakery manager in daily operations, including inventory management and stock rotation. Assist with the decoration and presentation of baked goods to meet customer expectations. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food production techniques.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is advantageous. Basic knowledge of baking techniques and food preparation methods. Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices. Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented atmosphere. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing tasks within the kitchen. Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 11.44-15.21 per hour
