We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring that high-quality products are produced consistently. This position requires a passion for baking, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining food safety standards, also assisting in packing of all products for distribution. Your working week is 4 days either from 9am-4pm or 10am-5pm and Sundays on a rotational basis.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and production of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery workspace in accordance with food safety regulations.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
Operate bakery equipment safely and effectively, performing basic maintenance as needed.
Adhere to HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety throughout the production process.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Experience
Previous experience in a bakery or food production environment is preferred but not essential.
Understanding of food safety principles and practices is advantageous.
Mechanical knowledge related to bakery equipment is a plus.
A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment is essential.
