Job Description

We are on the lookout for an energetic and motivated person to join our growing team!

The location will be the main bakery at Cultybraggan Camp in Comrie.
Shifts will be 10:00-18:00.
Salary is 12.85 per hour, negotiable depending on experience, with scope for advancement on merit.
All overtime hours are paid.

We are looking for someone with:

at least two years' experience, preferably longer, in a high quality food preparation environment

The primary focus of this position is food preparation.
Some washing up will be part of the job, but it is a lot more than a traditional KP position.

Duties may include:

Making pastry preparations such as creme patissiere, marzipan, crumble topping, simple pastry doughs, flavoured spreads etc

Prepping fruit for pastries

Preparation of ingredients for pizza toppings and savoury pastries

Sandwich preparation for our shop in the village

Weighing dough ingredients for the following day's bake

Helping to unload bread from ovens

Washing up and general kitchen hygiene

Hands on tuition and written reference materials will be provided for all tasks.

Where time permits, and depending on aptitude and motivation, the successful applicant could become involved in some activities carried out by bakers and pastry cooks, such as shaping bread and pastries.
