We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and navigate various delivery routes. Duties
Safely operate a delivery van to transport goods to designated locations.
Load and unload items, ensuring that all deliveries are handled with care.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any changes in schedule.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and delivery confirmations.
Perform routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Assist in warehouse duties when not on the road, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Skills
Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Strong ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members.
Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently while following delivery schedules.
Previous experience in warehouse operations is an advantage but not essential.
