We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bakery Manager to lead our bakery team. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure high-quality food production, and maintain excellent customer service standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, culinary expertise, and a passion for bakery arts. The Bakery Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, managing food safety protocols, and ensuring the smooth running of the bakery to meet business goals.
Duties
Oversee all aspects of bakery operations, including food preparation and cooking processes
Supervise and manage bakery staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
Ensure adherence to food safety standards and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment
Develop and implement new bakery products in line with current trends and customer preferences
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies to ensure continuous production without shortages
Maintain high standards of customer service by ensuring staff deliver exceptional hospitality and serving experiences
Manage daily sales transactions and oversee cash handling procedures
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality ingredients are sourced at competitive prices
Lead by example in fostering a positive team environment centred on teamwork and leadership
Experience
Proven supervising experience within a bakery, restaurant, or hospitality setting
Extensive culinary experience with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and lead a diverse team effectively
Previous experience in food production or kitchen management is essential
Knowledge of restaurant or hotel operations is advantageous
Experience with barista work or serving in hospitality environments is desirable
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
