Bakery Packer & Delivery Driver

Location: Unit 13, Westhoughton Industrial Estate, James St, Westhoughton, Bolton, BL5 3QR

Job Type: [Part-time] ~ 20 hours

Reports To: Wholesale Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and punctual Packer & Delivery Driver to join

our bakery team. In this role, you will be responsible for carefully packing bakery products

and delivering them to wholesale clients on time while ensuring all items arrive in excellent

condition.

Key Responsibilities:

Packing:

? Accurately pack baked goods (bread, pastries, cakes, etc.) according to order slips

and bakery standards.

? Ensure all products are handled hygienically and with care to avoid damage.

? Maintain cleanliness and organization in the packing area.

? Return crates to designated area emptied and tidied upon return to the bakery.

Delivery:

? Load packed orders safely and efficiently into the delivery vehicle.

? Deliver bakery products to wholesale customers (cafes, shops, or event locations)

on a timely route.

? Provide excellent customer service during drop-offs, including obtaining signatures

and resolving basic delivery issues.

? Handle products with care to prevent damage or contamination during transport.

General:

? Perform daily vehicle safety checks and report any maintenance issues.

? Alert management to low fuel levels to ensure delivery vans are always ready to go.

? Maintain accurate delivery notes and logs.

? Follow all road safety and bakery hygiene regulations.

? Support the bakery team with other duties as required.

Requirements:
? Must be 30 or over (for insurance purposes).
? Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
? Ability to lift and move heavy crates.
? Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
? Excellent time management and reliability.
? Good communication and customer service skills.
? Ability to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
Desirable:
? Previous experience in delivery or packing preferred (especially food-related).
? Knowledge of local delivery routes.
Work Schedule:
? Typical shift: 7:00 AM - 11 AM
? Days: Tuesday - Sunday
