Job Overview

This is a critical front-of-house and back-of-house role. You will be the face of the business at our Somersham Bakery, serving customers in our newly opened Bakery Shop and managing remote customer orders over the telephone. Preparing take-away coffees, hot and cold food orders whilst also performing support tasks for our team of bakers, you will be a confident multi-tasker.

THIS ROLE IS A MATERNITY COVER CONTRACT.

Responsibilities

Lead on the front-of-house operation of our new Somersham Bakery Shop Handle customer enquiries and take orders over the telephone Support the Bakery team in the preparation of ingredients Ensure the correct baking tins and equipment are ready for the bakers to use Support in the wrapping and packing of baked goods and customer orders Liaise with our Store Managers to take daily stock orders for delivery to our shops

Requirements

Previous experience in a bakery or food production environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided. Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a busy setting. Strong attention to detail to ensure high standards of product quality and hygiene are maintained. Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions diligently. Flexibility to work early mornings, some Saturdays, or shifts as required by the bakery schedule. A positive attitude, reliability, and enthusiasm for customer service are essential qualities for success in this role.

Pay: 25,480.00-26,520.00 per year
