Job Overview

We are looking for a Cook to work in our Shaldon and Teignmouth Shops. The successful candidate must have a passion and experience for food preparation and customer services. This role is essential in ensuring that our shop operates smoothly and efficiently, providing excellent service to our customers while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation tasks under the guidance of the manager during training. Ensure that all food items are stored properly and adhere to food safety regulations. Help maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and shop area, including washing utensils and equipment. Managing inventory levels, including receiving deliveries and restocking supplies as needed. Engage with customers, providing information about products and assisting with their needs. Participate in daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

Two year's experience in food preparation role is essential. A keen interest in cooking and a willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation. Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards is essential. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with customers and colleagues alike. Flexibility to work varying shifts as required by the shop's operational needs.
