We seek candidates who have completed the Care Certificate with a caring attitude and a flexible, reliable approach. Experience of working in a healthcare setting within a Band 2 position is essential and if you've already had some experience in ED, that's a real bonus. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team is essential to this role. Finally, a willingness to learn new skills is key to success!

On the direction of and under the supervision of a Health Care Professional to provide support to that professional either by giving direct patient care and/or clerical, administrative, manual, domestic and technical support.
This role gives you the chance to contribute directly to high-quality patient care within a fast-paced emergency setting. Working under the supervision of healthcare professionals, your responsibilities will include performing venepuncture, cannulation, ECGs, clinical observations, applying plaster of paris, assisting with minor procedures, and supporting patients with mobility, hygiene, and nutrition after training. You will also help maintain equipment and stock, ensuring safety and efficiency in the department.

We operate from two main sites - KGH in Goodmayes and Queen's Hospital in Romford. We have two busy emergency departments with more than 330,000 people visiting them last year. We're campaigning to secure the 35m we need to transform the A&E at Queen's and get rid of corridor care.
Our patients are benefitting from our Women's Health Hub in Ilford; an Ageing Well Centre in Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) at Barking Community Hospital and at St George's Health and Wellbeing Hub in Hornchurch.
These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and are providing an extra 94,000 scans a year.
