Job Description

JOB PURPOSE To assist physiotherapists / occupational therapists in the assessment, treatment, and management of both outpatients and inpatients including musculoskeletal outpatients and inpatient Orthopaedic ward. To provide both clinical, non clinical and administrative support to qualified physiotherapy staff. To implement and progress agreed planned treatment programmes. JOB SUMMARY To assist therapists in the delivery of the therapy service in a variety of in or outpatient settings.

To work without direct supervision, and after appropriate training, within specified clinical areas, undertaking patient assessment, planning, implementing and progressing rehabilitation programmes and interventions delegated by a qualified therapist. To act as first contact with patients, in certain situations, and carry own caseload. To assist in the assessment of patients rehabilitation needs , where appropriate. To undertake data entry of patient activity onto the Trusts Electronic Notes System Please refer to the attached and Person Specification for a full list of role requirements and main responsibilities.
