Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care for our most vulnerable patients. As a NICU Nurse, you will be responsible for monitoring and caring for premature and critically ill newborns, ensuring their safety and comfort while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates in the NICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patients' conditions. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans. Educate parents and families about their infants' conditions, treatment plans, and necessary care procedures. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with hospital policies. Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance clinical skills.

Skills

Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and compassion. In-depth knowledge of anatomy relevant to neonatal care. Proficiency in medication administration, including understanding dosages and potential side effects. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and families.
