We're seeking an exceptional Delivery Suite Ward Manager to join our maternity leadership team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.



This is a dual-role position, offering a 50/50 split between clinical and managerial responsibilities, enabling you to stay hands-on while developing key leadership and operational skills.



As Ward Manager, you'll lead and inspire a team of dedicated midwives and maternity support workers, ensuring excellent standards of care are maintained at all times.



Working closely with the Matron for Delivery Suite and Triage, you will help oversee the safe running of the area, drive quality improvement, and support the ongoing development of our workforce.



With a new hospital planned for Watford and work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital, this is an exciting time to join us.

We are looking for a Registered Midwife with significant experience in intrapartum care. Someone with p roven leadership experience in a clinical setting, with s trong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.



They will have a sound knowledge of safeguarding, infection control, and clinical governance, and be a positive, compassionate leader who thrives in a busy and evolving environment.
