Overview

We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in working with various materials, particularly sheet metal. As a Saw Operator, you will play a critical role in the fabrication process, ensuring that all components are cut accurately and efficiently to meet production specifications.

Responsibilities

Operate saws and other cutting equipment to cut materials to specified dimensions. Grind and assemble components as required for production tasks. Utilise hand tools and tooling effectively to ensure precision in cutting and fabrication. Perform basic welding tasks when necessary to complete assemblies. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.

Skills

Proficient in using hand tools and machinery related to metal fabrication. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations. Experience with sheet metal fabrication is highly desirable. Ability to grind, assemble, and weld components as part of the production process. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
