Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join us on a casual bank contract. This role involves ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and comfort of individuals in our care during the night. The successful candidate will be responsible for personal care, monitoring health needs, and administering medication as required.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, person-centered care during night shifts. Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility Support clients in accordance with personalised care plans, ensuring their specific needs are met Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals Administer prescribed medication safely and accurately Document care provided accurately using IT systems and adhere to confidentiality protocols Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behaviour to the relevant healthcare team Uphold safety standards and promote a respectful, caring environment at all times

Requirements

Experience in a care or healthcare setting preffered Knowledge of safe medication administration and care procedures desirable Ability to work independently and responsibly Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care Relevant qualifications in health or social care desirable Knowledge of developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation Compassionate attitude with strong interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
