About Glyncornel

Glyncornel Nursing Home is a small, 16-bed home in a peaceful setting beside Glyncornel Lake in Tonypandy. With over 30 years of trusted care, we provide high-quality support for older adults living with dementia and complex health needs. Our close-knit team prides itself on compassion, professionalism, and respect for every individual.

Your Role

As a Care Assistant, you'll support residents with their daily routines, helping them live comfortably, safely, and with dignity.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Providing personal care (washing, dressing, toileting) with empathy and respect Supporting mobility, mealtimes, and daily activities Offering companionship and emotional reassurance Monitoring wellbeing and promptly reporting any concerns Maintaining accurate records and following care plans Ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment

What We're Looking For

? Previous experience working in a care or nursing home (essential)
? A kind, patient, and compassionate approach
? Reliable, flexible, and confident working day or night shifts
? Good communication and teamwork skills
? NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care desirable (or willingness to work towards)
