POSITION
:Being a Cook for the Care home, your duties will include:
v To prepare and cook a balanced, nutritious diet.
v To actively contribute in the preparation and cooking of food.
v To work within a controlled hygienic environment.
v To stock check regularly and make notes if orders are needed. Ensure all stock is rotated accurately to ensure efficient and economic use of supplies.
v Complete audits and activities in relation to Health & Safety, HACCP and COSHH.
v To cater to residents' dietary needs and preferences.
v To maintain kitchen equipment as specified by respective manufacturers.
v To ensure all kitchen appliances are left in a clean hygienic state.
v To ensure all surfaces are cleaned with appropriate disinfectant.
v To perform other such duties as may be required.
We are currently recruiting for a Bank Cook for Day shifts 7.00 am - 5.00 pm, working alternate weekends.
You will be asked to cover any shortfall on the rota through sickness or annual leave.
EXPERIENCE:
Cooking: (essential).
Care Home experience preferred but not essential.
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: 12.60 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
