We are looking for a
Bank Cook
to work at
Sellywood House Nursing Home.
To be considered for the Bank Cook, it is essential that you have demonstrative culinary experience, preferably in a hospitality environment, accompanied by a relevant catering qualification and, as a minimum, the Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals according to menus, residents' dietary requirements, and special requests.
Menu planning, food purchasing, and stock management.
Supervise kitchen staff and assist with training as required.
Ensure all food preparation and service is undertaken in a clean, safe, and hygienic environment.
Comply with Health & Safety, COSHH, Food Hygiene, and Environmental Health regulations.
Perform kitchen duties including cleaning, washing up, and equipment maintenance.
Report any faulty equipment or safety concerns promptly.
Promote the food service as a key contributor to the Home's reputation and resident satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records related to food preparation, stock, and kitchen activities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Recognised catering qualification (minimum NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation/Cooking).
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (mandatory).
Minimum of 1 years' experience in commercial, institutional, or care home catering, preparing varied menus.
Knowledge of Health & Safety, Environmental Health, and food hygiene legislation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, flexible, and professional.
Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
