We are now looking for highly motivated Health Care Assistants to join our Bank on our Community Team & Inpatient Unit.
Main duties of the job
You would have experience and qualifications in the health care field. We welcome applications from people who have a passion for providing excellent care and support to our patient group. You will need a driving licence and access to a car for the community role.
About us
The 10-bed unit will provide holistic care for patients with both malignant and non-malignant life limiting illnesses and their families and carers. This will include excellent symptom control, psycho-social and spiritual support for patients who are admitted for symptom control, specialist palliative rehabilitation and end of life care; we are also aspiring to provide care for patients with complex nursing needs such as non-invasive ventilation and tracheostomy care.

To maintain effective communication skills to deliveremotive information clearly, sensitively and unambiguously with staff, patients, families and professionals by face-to-face, telephone and/or electronic means.
To work collaboratively as part of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) team sharing the clinicalcaseload of patients/carers within the locality/in-patient unit for patients who have palliative care needs to ensure efficient and timely care is delivered.
To work as part of the MDT,seeking advice from colleagues and/orclinicalleadershipteam when required, in ordertodeliver excellentpalliative and end of life care.
To support and participate in any streamlined locality/IPU processes and services by working to agreed quality improvement standardsincluding clear outcome measures to produce efficient and highly performing clinical services.
