About the Role
We are looking for a
compassionate and reliable Bank Healthcare Assistant / Support Worker
to join our dedicated team in
Radcliffe on Trent, Nottingham
.
You will support both elderly clients and a service user with
severe learning disabilities
, helping them to enjoy meaningful, fulfilling lives.
This role is ideal for someone with flexibility who wants regular work on
Mondays and Saturdays
(if available on Thursdays), with opportunities for additional shifts when available.
Shift details:
Mondays
- supporting at home and at a local day centre
Saturdays
- accompanying the individual in the community (6-hour shift)
Shift length:
6 to 11.5 hours, depending on the day and client needs
Responsibilities
Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs according to individual care plans.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the care team.
Engage clients in social activities and companionship to promote mental well-being.
Assist at the day centre (on Mondays or Thursdays)
Drive or accompany clients to appointments or social outings as required, ensuring safe transportation.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement effective care plans tailored to each client's needs.
Utilise IT systems for record keeping and communication within the care team.
What We're Looking For
? Experience working with individuals with
learning disabilities
(essential)
? Previous experience in
care home, supported living, or domiciliary care
settings
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
? Empathetic, patient, and dependable nature
? Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
? Right to work in the UK
? Willingness to complete an
Enhanced DBS check
Desirable Qualifications
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
Driver with access to own vehicle (desirable but not essential)
