Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic bank Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves supporting the nursery staff in delivering high-quality childcare and early childhood education, ensuring that each child's individual needs are met.

Duties

Assist in the daily care and supervision of children within the nursery setting. Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and physical development. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment for children to play and learn. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare and education. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities as required.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications would be advantageous. Strong management and leadership skills to effectively support the nursery team. Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel if necessary. A genuine love for working with children and an understanding of their developmental needs. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
