The Lookout Day Nursery is a small, Ofsted Outstanding, nature-inspired nursery set in the beautiful countryside in between Bath & Bradford-on-Avon. Since opening in 2020, we've grown into a warm, close-knit team who genuinely love what we do, and where we do it.

The Role - Bank Early Years Educator

We're looking for a nurturing, enthusiastic and reliable practitioner to join our bank team, supporting children aged 1-5 years across the nursery when needed.

No two days are the same here. Your shifts might be:

Creative and messy Calm and cosy Outdoors in all weathers Child-led, playful and full of laughter
This role is ideal if you're looking for flexibility, whether alongside studies, another role, family commitments, or semi-retirement.

Shifts between 7:45am-6:30pm, Monday-Friday

Zero-hours contract

(hours offered as needed, perfect for flexible workers)

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting children's learning through play, indoors and outdoors Building warm, secure relationships with children and families Being creative, curious and responsive to children's interests Working collaboratively with a friendly, passionate team Following safeguarding and welfare procedures to keep children safe

About You

We'd love to hear from you if you:

Have experience with childcare (nursery, school, or even your own little ones!) Are passionate about child development and making a difference Enjoy being outdoors and sharing a love of nature with children Bring positivity, energy and a "can-do" attitude Value teamwork, kindness and good communication

Qualifications are welcomed but not essential

(Level 2/3 Early Years or Forest School experience is a bonus, training available in-house)
