Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated qualified level 2 or 3 Early Years Educator to join our team as Bank Staff. The ideal candidate will support existing staff to play a crucial role in nurturing and supporting the development of young children in a safe and stimulating environment. This position requires an understanding of early childhood education principles and the ability to create engaging learning experiences that promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that foster children's development. Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and areas for improvement. Establish positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support the child's learning journey. Maintain a safe and hygienic environment in accordance with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with other educators to develop a cohesive curriculum that meets the needs of all learners. Provide support during playtime, encouraging social interaction and cooperative play among children. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Skills

Strong understanding of child development theories and practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Capability to create engaging educational materials tailored to various learning styles. Knowledge of safeguarding practices and child protection policies is advantageous.
Hours will be flexible depending on the need of the nursery - usually covering staff holidays, training or last minute sickness.

Pay will be dependent on age and qualification.
