Overview

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Bank Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with children. This role involves supporting the daily activities within the nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children. Strong communication skills in English are essential, as well as the ability to manage and lead small groups of children effectively.

Duties

Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children. Supervise and interact with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise. Support the lead educator in maintaining a clean, organised, and stimulating nursery environment. Help manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and transitions between activities. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional development. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in childcare and early childhood education.

Requirements

Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications would be advantageous. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine love for working with children and a commitment to their development. Ability to drive may be beneficial for transporting children or resources as needed. Must be able to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative when required.
