As part of our bank team, you'll provide essential support during staff absences, busy periods, and holidays, helping us maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children aged 0-5.

Ideally, you'll hold a Level 2 or 3 childcare qualification and have experience in a nursery setting, but most importantly, you'll bring warmth, reliability, and a proactive attitude. Duties



support children's learning and development through play and structured activities Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment at all times Work collaboratively with permanent staff to maintain high standards of care Step in when needed to cover staff absences, holidays, or busy periods Supervise children ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Foster a nurturing environment that encourages learning through play and exploration Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high standards of childcare and education are upheld Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns Support the implementation of early childhood education programmes aligned with best practices Manage daily routines including meal times, nap times, and hygiene practices

Requirements



Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations Excellent communication skills Childcare qualification recognised within the UK (e.g., CACHE Level 3 or equivalent) is preferred Ability to organise activities that promote learning, socialisation, and development Compassionate, patient, and able to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

Job Types: Freelance, Zero hours contract

Pay: Up to 12.40 per hour
