What You'll Do
As a Bank Residential Childcare Practitioner, you'll help maintain stability and quality of care during times of change. Your calm presence and empathetic approach will support young people through everyday routines and emotional challenges.
Key responsibilities:
Build trusting, supportive relationships with young people
Provide personalised, trauma-informed care in line with each child's plan
Support therapeutic and recreational activities, including time outdoors
Assist with daily routines such as mealtimes, education, and bedtime
Respond to emotional or behavioural needs with empathy and composure
Keep accurate, timely records in line with safeguarding standards
Work closely with the core team to maintain consistency in care
What You'll Bring

We're looking for:
Experience in residential childcare or a similar care setting
Confidence in supporting children with complex needs and emotional challenges
Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed practice
A calm, empathetic manner with excellent communication skills
A full UK driving licence
Availability for 24.5-hour shifts (10:00am-11:00pm, sleep-in, then 7:00am-10:30am)
