Every shift is an opportunity to help young people aged 10-18 rebuild trust, confidence, and a sense of belonging. You'll provide safety, stability, and care -- whether you're supporting routines, joining activities, or offering calm reassurance when life feels tough.

Key responsibilities include:



Building positive, trusting relationships with young people Supporting daily routines such as mealtimes, education, and bedtime Encouraging participation in therapeutic and recreational activities Responding to challenges with empathy and composure Working closely with the permanent care team to ensure consistency Maintaining accurate records in line with safeguarding standards

What You'll Bring



Experience in residential childcare or a similar care environment Confidence working with young people who have complex emotional needs A trauma-informed, empathetic approach to care Reliability, resilience, and strong communication skills A full UK driving licence Availability for 24.5-hour shifts as outlined above
