Location: Blackburn, BB1 2FA - Office Based

Contract: Full-Time Hours / Permanent

Salary: \xc2\xa340,000 circa & Bonus Scheme

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Banking Manager to join our Transaction Shared Service (TSS) centre located at our Waterside Head Office in Blackburn.

In this role, you will work closely with the direct team and wider TSS department supporting a team of Banking Specialists ensuring the daily / weekly / monthly transactional processing activities across the cash and bank department are completed within the agreed SLA and will provide essential support to the finance department as we transition and streamline our account systems and processes onto SAP4HANA.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Management of the Cash and Bank Department
  • Supporting and leading the team with their daily activities
  • Mentoring / coaching and developing direct reports
  • Monitoring and managing the daily uploads of bank statements
  • Reviewing and providing sign off on the monthly bank reconciliations completed by the team
  • Data analysis on the performance of our processes
  • SME for all department processes
  • Department Project Manager of internal and external changes
  • Liaising with the broader finance teams to provide regular updates on the team position
  • Continuous improvement across the Banking Department
  • Working with other departments to resolve transactional differences
  • Oversee & prioritise workload to ensure we meet our SLAs and KPIs
  • Escalation and resolution of issues in a timely manner
  • Identifying process improvements and mitigating risk through good controls and organisation

Candidate Requirements
  • Experience coaching and training team members
  • Experience using account systems, SAP would be advantageous
  • Excel proficient (Lookup, PivotTables etc)
  • Experience in working with large transactional volumes
  • Obtained or working towards finance / accounting qualifications and / or experience within a financial setting (Essential)
  • Highly organised with a strong attention to detail, accuracy and improvement
  • Results driven with proven record of delivery against KPIs and SLAs
  • Well organised and can manage own time and workload.
  • Can work with large data sets, analysing transactions and understanding the processes and information presented.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced / transactional environment
