As a Banquet Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing high-quality dishes for various events, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences. You will work closely with the kitchen team to maintain the highest standards of hospitality and culinary excellence.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for banquets and special events according to established recipes and presentation standards. Supervise kitchen staff during meal preparation to ensure efficiency and adherence to food safety guidelines. Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas that enhance our culinary offerings. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items and equipment. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary to ensure seamless operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate timing of service and ensure guest satisfaction. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and operational procedures.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen environment. Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or banquet setting, with the ability to work under pressure. Excellent team management skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate kitchen staff effectively. Proficient in culinary techniques, with a keen eye for detail in food presentation. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to take initiative when required. Strong organisational skills, with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. A passion for hospitality, ensuring that every dish served meets high standards of quality and taste.
