About the role



Banquet Supervisors lead the team of Banquet Servers in set-up, break down and service of all Banquet functions. This is a hands on role, working with the team, and in constant liaison with both onsite and external Event planners, in order to produce the most incredible events.

What you will do



Train, evaluate, lead, motivate. Coach all employees in the Hotel's banqueting operation to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met; daily activities and planning for outlet operation. You will need to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts. You should be able to describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods. Provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Control staffing and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control. You will attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and partnership between departments. Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed. Work collaboratively and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.

What you will bring



Previous experience in Banqueting or a related role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or management position. Strong knowledge of Banqueting standards, Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to motivate and manage a team in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and a commitment to high standard of service. Ability to handle guest feedback and resolve issues in a professional and efficient manner. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Basic computer skills
