Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with their deli needs and orders. You will play a vital role in food preparation, ensuring food safety standards are met, and promoting our deli offerings through effective upselling techniques. A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to quality service are essential for success in this position.

As well as this, being the deli counter in the bar, you will be assisting with drinks orders too.

Responsibilities



Assist customers by taking orders and providing recommendations on deli products. Prepare and present a variety of deli items, ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to all health regulations. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area, including regular cleaning of surfaces and equipment. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the deli department.

Experience



Previous experience in a culinary or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food safety regulations is advantageous. Basic maths skills are required for handling transactions and managing inventory effectively. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A passion for helping customers and providing excellent service is crucial for this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
