Duties

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm. Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities. Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly. Handle payments accurately and process transactions efficiently. Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and surrounding areas throughout shifts. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth service flow. Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper handling and storage of food items. Assist in setting up the dining area before service and resetting after closing hours.

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; a friendly personality and eagerness to learn are key. Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable. Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities to handle busy service periods effectively. Good communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members. Ability to perform basic maths accurately for billing purposes. Experience with guest services, upselling, and creating a welcoming atmosphere will be advantageous. A proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards throughout shifts.
