Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic bar and waiting staff to join our vibrant team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This job is seasonal but does have the opportunity to hire full time.

From greeting the customers at the door to serving tables and taking orders you will be work collaboratively with supervisors and other members of staff to deliver a high quality dining experience to our customers. The right candidate being able to work weekends and some night shifts. Previous experience in hospitality is desired but full training will be provided on the job.

Duties

Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, providing them with menus and information about daily specials. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all requests are noted. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables and service stations. Respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests, ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any issues that may arise.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; we welcome those eager to learn. Basic maths skills are required for handling transactions and processing payments accurately. Knowledge of culinary practices and food safety standards is advantageous. Strong communication skills with an ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment. A friendly demeanour with a genuine desire to help guests enjoy their dining experience is essential.
