Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. Duties

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm. Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted. Serve meals and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities. Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns. Handle payments accurately using the POS system and provide correct change or receipts. Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout shifts. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues swiftly. Follow food safety protocols and hygiene standards at all times. Assist with organising reservations and managing waiting lists during busy periods.

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving techniques. Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable manner. Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately. Good organisational skills to manage multiple tables efficiently. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations is advantageous. Culinary experience or familiarity with menu items can enhance service quality. Effective time management to ensure prompt service delivery. Upselling skills to promote specials and increase sales while enhancing guest satisfaction.
