Duties

Greet guests warmly and take their orders accurately, providing menu recommendations when appropriate Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in during their meal and addressing any special requests or concerns Handle payments efficiently, including processing cash and card transactions Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout shifts Assist with food preparation or kitchen duties as needed, adhering to food safety standards Upsell menu items and specials to maximise guest experience and sales opportunities Follow health and safety regulations diligently, including proper food handling and hygiene practices

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service, with strong guest service skills Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments accurately Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining professionalism Time management skills to ensure timely service delivery Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn new skills is important Upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and increase sales potential
