Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our front of house team at our Country Pub. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. This role involves providing attentive service, ensuring guest satisfaction, and supporting the smooth operation of our restaurant. Previous restaurant experience is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness Assist guests with menu selections, upselling specials or additional items to enhance their dining experience Ensure timely delivery of orders and check in with guests to ensure satisfaction throughout their visit Handle payments accurately and process transactions using POS systems Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas in compliance with food safety standards Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and delivery times Uphold excellent guest service by addressing any concerns promptly and professionally

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures Familiarity with food preparation processes and kitchen operations is a plus Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members Guest service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanour Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to maximise guest satisfaction and sales potential Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.21-13.57 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
